REFORMATION

Martin Luther brought to pass what we call the Reformation. He brought the erring church to focus on Christ and the Word of God in scripture.

Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.
- Philippians 2:15,16 TNIV

Paul calls the Philippians to those same Reformation principles: hold firmly to the word of life. That word of life is none other than Jesus. We don't know or see Jesus any better than grounding ourselves in scripture.
Even more than reformation, life itself comes in these principles. But it's not a principle, it's a person, Jesus Christ. In him is life.
