FISHIN'

Some of us think we find God when we go to holy places, like prayer rooms or church sanctuaries. That's not a bad thing to do, but sometimes God shows up at the office!
Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, " We will go with you." - John 21:3 NRS
The scene is the disciples huddled, disgruntled, and in grief, to which Peter shouts, "That's it, I'm going fishing!" And his buddies follow. Peter's office was a boat, fishing was his thing. So he did his thing. He returned to his rhythm, his routine, and Jesus, the Risen Christ, showed up.
So today, don't be surprised if Jesus shows up, not only in your fishing boat, but wherever you are. Jesus shows up not merely in the holy places, but even in your fishing boat.
