TAKEN IN

To be "taken in" can mean to be fooled, deceived, but it can also mean to be welcomed, embraced.

Ahh, the famous "Jesus Walking on the Water" story. Yet what is missed in the story is that the disciples are struggling in their boat on Galilee, and when Jesus shows up, it's not at all clear, and they not at all sure that they want to welcome Jesus into the boat--even after they recognize him!

To the best of my knowledge, none of us has greeted Jesus walking to us on a lake, and we also have trouble welcoming him at times, taking him into our boats. How much better, though, when we do. How about taking in Jesus with you this day, in all you do? Surely it's what is meant by "Jesus is Lord."
